Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of band9.com and the Band9 IELTS preparation service (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm you have permission from a parent or guardian to use the Service.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been compromised.

Subscriptions and billing

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) through Stripe.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals, but you keep access to paid features until the end of the billing period you already paid for.
• We do not provide prorated refunds for unused time in a billing period, except where required by law.
• We may change our prices going forward; changes will not apply to a billing period you have already paid for.

Acceptable use and content

All test content, questions, explanations, and course materials on Band9 are owned by Band9 or its licensors and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use while studying. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved. You agree not to reproduce, resell, scrape, or redistribute Service content, and not to circumvent any access or paywall controls.

Disclaimers

The Service, including any band-score estimates, is provided for practice and self-assessment purposes only and is not a substitute for an official IELTS test. We do not guarantee any particular score, outcome, or result from using the Service. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Band9 will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service, including attempting to bypass paywalled content.

Governing law

Band9 does not yet have a registered legal entity or a designated jurisdiction for these Terms. This section will be updated with the applicable governing law once that is in place.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
